Barrie is a founding Director of Suzie Bridges Architects. His experience across many sectors, running both large and small projects, is extensive. He was an Associate at Broadway Malyan for 8 years delivering a range of bespoke proposals including Roundshaw Community Centre, BP Sunbury, White Lodge Respite Centre, and a number of competition schemes. From 2008 to 2011 he was design architect for FCP Architects. Here he helped develop a concept for a new kind of virtual work environment ‐ “Collaborative Workplace” ‐ that would allow remote off‐shore engineers to collaborate with their on‐shore staff as if working within the same room.

Barrie is an innovative designer who knows how to deliver. He is committed to technical and design excellence and is actively interested in low energy design and the use of construction materials to achieve passive energy solutions. He brings a proactive approach to design and construction ‐ collaborating with the whole team to solve problems with design excellence in mind. He takes lead responsibility for the practice’s health and safety, financial and legal affairs.
